Soul singer-songwriter, Jed Harrelson, is hitting the road tomorrow, February 2, kicking off his grassroots tour in Clarksville, Tennessee. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the Texarkana native said he’s looking forward to being on tour again, “Playing live is what I live for… I’m looking forward to meeting new people in places I’ve never been before.”

In his own words, Harrelson describes the experience of playing live as a smaller artist: “It’s wild how far people will come to hear a small artist. We are building a community, slowly.” Jed describes his process as one made with love: “We are 100% independent and we do it because there is no other option.”

If you’re looking for a way to spend an upcoming evening, these shows will be filled with a unique energy, curated by Jed and his band influenced heavily by soul, rock and R&B. “I don’t ever really want the show to end because it goes so fast,” Jed said. “Seeing people who are paying attention is not something that always happened. Now people are really engaging with the show and singing some of these songs.”

We will be seeing Jed again at his upcoming show at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, Arkansas on February 16th. “The best way people can support is to keep playing the music. That helps in the long run,” Jed said. “Buying merch gets us to the next town. Kind words help the heart. Spreading the word helps it grow more. Buying a ticket makes it all worth it.” Harrelson will be back to play in Nashville March 23rd at Eastside Bowl.

Tickets for all shows can be purchased at www.jedharrelson.com.
